WHO IS ANHYDROUS OHIO?
Anhydrous: from Greek anudros; an- "without" + hudōr- "water" + -ous. Anhydrous Ohio seeks to address the lack of clean water in developing and developed countries worldwide. Anhydrous Ohio is a project run by Peyton Harris, a Freshman at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Peyton is also a Global Scholars Diploma participant. Global Scholars Diploma is a program run by the Columbus Council on World Affairs. Global Scholars Diploma is "an experiential approach to global education..."
"The Global Scholars Diploma is a three-year program that develops globally competent High School students by building the awareness and skills needed to take action on a global issue and to become responsible citizens of the world. The first two years are spent at face-to-face events where local experts share their personal experiences with culture, jobs with global components, and issues around the world. Students engage in various collaborative activities within the theme of the event, learning and exercising their cultural fluency and competency."

WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT.
Anhydrous Ohio is dedicated to ensuring that every person has access to safe, clean drinking water regardless of sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, or financial status. It is the belief of Anhydrous Ohio that access to safe, clean drinking water is an inalienable human right given to every person and can not be denied by any individual or group.
Anhydrous Ohio is also dedicated to the preservation of freshwater sources worldwide to ensure that safe, clean drinking water is able to be continually and reliably supplied to every person. This means fighting sources of pollution that threaten and endanger sources of freshwater such as aquifers, lakes, ponds, etc.
